August Art Walk in Los Gatos August 22 2014

The Los Gatos Art Walk continues to grow and attract more participants. This month we are very pleased to be showing the works of Carol Bower and Environmental Artist John Tyson
Come enjoy wine and cheese, and enter a drawing to win 4 VIP tickets to the de Young Museum showing a remarkable selection of modernist art from the end of World War II through the end of the century. This exhibition brings paintings by some of the greatest masters of the postwar era to San Francisco. Featuring works by Ellsworth Kelly, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, and Frank Stella, among others, it is a captivating selection of the National Gallery of Art’s collection. Included is a rare display of Barnett Newman’s 15-painting masterpiece The Stations of the Cross: Lema Sabachthani (1958–1966)—shown together as the artist intended within a discrete, chapel-like gallery devoted solely to the series. Also included in the prize package are and exhibition catalogue and a free private docent tour (depending on availability).
