Our Newest Harvest Style Images! August 15 2017

There are so many new products and fabulous new inspiration pictures to share! Sectionals, coffee tables, end tables, rugs, all styled together in beautiful room scenes so our customers can visualize how the Harvest look will feel in their homes. For a small company, it's a big task to order for and stage an entire home for a photoshoot. It's well worth the effort though, because we all know a picture is worth a thousand words. Check out our Harvest Style page for all of the product info from these images, but for now, enjoy these beautiful rooms and some behind-the-scenes pics.

Tim (buyer and merchandiser), Nicole (general manager) and Karsten (chief) were on site to place and style each room of this large, modern home.

A ladder, vacuum, steamer and power drill are just some of the tools needed to pull the stage off. Tim had just a "few" curtain rods to hang.

And even with everything set to shoot, there are still adjustments made for each picture. Here's Ross, our fantastic photo guy, setting up!

Notice the chandelier above? Lovely, but not ours, so it gets erased. Like magic!

Iron beds are really trending now and this one is stunning! The Lansing.

One of our top sellers, the Laura sectional. And the Avera rug! Gorgeous!

This guest room was the perfect place to show off our American Leather Comfort Sleepers. This one is the Cassidy

Love our new Alexandra barstools!!!

One of the benefits to having a professional photographer and photoshop expert on board, is being able to hide unwanted views outside the windows! This home was still under construction for the landscaping so the bright orange fences needed to go. Hmmm, should it be a woodland or ocean view? :)

Tim was going for coastal in this room, so the ocean was the call! Don't you want to just dive in to that sectional?

Check out all of the room scenes and the pieces used in each space on our Harvest Style page and Pin your favorites!

Happy designing,

Modern Living and Dining July 17 2017

Our interior designers have been very busy this summer! Our customers are discovering what a wonderful resource our professional and talented staff is! Vanessa in Los Gatos has recently taken on some larger projects that have come out beautifully. Here's just one.

STYLE AND COLOR
This family of 4 was looking for furnishings for a main living room, dining room and family room. They were going for a more contemporary, minimalistic feel with a touch of the modern rustic style that is trending right now. "My client does not like clutter and loves clean lines, so everything I chose for her needed to be very simple, neutral, and not too extravagant." The color scheme was to be warm tones mixed with cooler accents for a nice balanced palette.

FUNCTIONALITY
Being able to host family-friendly game events on the weekends was key. They needed plenty of seating and easy buffet dining for 8-10 guests.

After visiting the home, measuring and gathering all of her clients wants and needs for her spaces, Vanessa created floor plans and inspiration boards that she would present at their next meeting.

Living Room

Dining Room

Entry

The finished result is stunning! Vanessa was able to provide elegant, family friendly and versatile entertaining spaces! The custom sofa and love seats offer ample seating, the fabrics and case good finishes are worry-free, and the rug is the perfect choice to add some drama and contrast.

The entry space was the perfect place for a narrow console piece and a bright mirror.

Vanessa presented to her client the idea of a pub-height dining table. These tables are so much fun and are great for entertaining and serving both beverages and food. This one was custom made just for her client.

Here's a list of some of the pieces that Vanessa used to create this flowing and lovely design.

Adding Vintage to the Harvest Mix! June 21 2017

Harvest Furniture has always been known as a great place to find the unexpected! Not only are we always adding fun and new accessories, but we also are lucky enough to have an owner who loves estate sales, flea markets and the Antique Market in Dallas. He is constantly adding vintage accessories to the Harvest mix!!! Like these antique bottles. What a great story here!

These come from a local collector who uncovers them near our own Embarcadero in San Francisco. Scouring construction sites along the bay, he looks only for bottles from the Gold Rush Days (1848 –1855) where ships bringing thousands of miners docked at piers that now make up the streets of the financial district.

It's interesting to imagine who once used these and if they ever struck it rich! A quick Google search shows us how that part of the bay looked during the Gold Rush. These ships were often abandoned and left to eventually be buried, and then uncovered once again!

Ideas via our Pinterest Page.

Other antique finds include these 19th century copper milk pails from Europe. No two are alike!

Hand carved wooden decoy ducks intact with their original rope and weights. These are fantastic additions to any office or bookshelf.

Old books are always in the stores. We love using these as elevators and special accents to our vignettes.

We also often carry vintage cans and other kitchen items. These are fun decorations for your kitchen shelves, counters or yard.

 Cute idea!

Stop by our stores to see what's in now! You never know what vintage items you're going to find!

What to Display in Your Display Cabinet June 12 2017

At Harvest we always have a variety of glass fronted cabinets on the floors of the stores. They work well for our purposes; showing off new accessories! But really they are a beautiful addition to any space. You may call them curios, vitrines or just glass cupboards, but there is something very charming about glass doors in general and adding the benefit of being able to place them anywhere, gives them a certain surprise.

We have fallen in love with our newest cabinet, the Madison Display Cabinet. Not only does it have the glass doors surrounded by gorgeous wood, but it's elevated by a metal frame that also gives it an industrial feel. The space below the cabinet is so perfect for extra seating or big baskets or bins.

We have quite a few of these types of cabinets featured on our website HERE and HERE, and many more available to order via catalog. Once you choose which piece will work for your space, it's time to fill it! There are many, many ways to go! The below pics are from our Pinterest Board: Display

• Keep the contents uniform in theme...

• Or mix it up!

• Use your cabinet in the kitchen,

• as extra closet space,

• or in the bath!

• Stuff it full of collectibles or keep it light with just a few special items.

Wherever and however you use them, these cabinets are sure to make you smile. And our stores are always full of wonderful finds to fill them with. Here are just a few that we carry through the stores! Let us know what kind of display cabinet we can help you find!!

Designer Spotlight - Melissa Designs a Colorful, Youthful Space May 26 2017

This Designer Spotlight features Melissa's work from the Los Gatos store. Her young clients wanted a fresh and clean-lined look with space for entertaining, playing guitar and for watching TV.

Now, we don't usually show before pictures but this transformation is so uplifting that we had to show how it looked before Melissa helped out!

Got the idea?

Here's the fun and colorful after, and they love it!

The little leather chair was the only piece of furniture that was staying, so Melissa had a clean slate! Creating a floor plan that offered the maximum amount of seating and storage was the first step. Then, choosing colors, she started with a navy sofa and added complimentary colors in the accessories to give the space some punch. The red-orange in the pillows and throws are a colorful contrast to the deep blues. Mixing patterns within the palette is also a great way to add energy.

Melissa is also not afraid to mix finishes! Brass accents in the end table, floor lamp and table lamp mix beautifully with the iron and wood textures of the coffee tables and other wood furnishings.

The entry wall was a natural place for a console table and our always perfect Junius Mirror. The console can double as a serving area when guests are over.

Here is a list of the pieces that Melissa used in this room!

Alex Sectional - Microfiber fabric
Console Table - Vintage Altar Table
Coffee table - Chelsea end table(s)
Apothecary Floor lamp
Hexagon Curtain Rod
Pillows -
Willow Basket Orange Pillow
Mizuki Copper Pillow

You may have noticed the gallery of small oil paintings above the sectional. They are actually done by Melissa's aunt, Kathy Bodamer! What a nice way to incorporate personal pieces into a new furnishing design. Check out more of Kathy's work HERE.

We are always proud of our interior designers and how they can help our customers create unique spaces just right for them. Great work Melissa!!

Easy Outdoor Decorating! May 23 2017

Dining outdoors is one of the perks of being a Californian. When the weather turns warm and sunny it's hard to stay indoors at dinner time. Entertaining is especially nice when you can head outside for a bbq and enjoy the sun as it sets.

This year Harvest has started carrying outdoor dining and lounging furniture for more Harvest style living, just al fresco.

There are so many wonderful ways to decorate your table for a special occasion or for everyday. This time of year it's easy to use fresh plants and flowers, but our faux plants are even easier, and they won't wilt in the hot sun! (Visit our Pinterest Page for more great ideas!)

Succulents are a popular choice! Mix and match them in a container and even add one of our flameless candles for some soft light.

We have many containers, large and small, perfect for your centerpieces.

Lanterns and hurricanes are also great dining table accessories. Again, so many ways to use and fill them!

Small faux trees are a romantic and wine country style table top design. Simple, yet very sophisticated. Our small olive trees are are delicate and beautiful inside and out.

If you want to do fresh flowers, but are somewhat daunted by flower arranging, scoop up some of our little glass bottles in the wire baskets to fill. So easy!!!

If you're a frequent visitor, you'll know we are always getting new and beautiful accessories in our stores. Stop by and see what's available now for decorating your outdoor dining spaces!

Harvest Creates Traditional Luxury May 02 2017

Sometimes opportunities to work with clients in their homes turns into somewhat of a larger project. This is one of those times! Our customer Scott was recently shopping at Harvest. Los Gatos for a couple of leather chairs and we came to discover that his home was being featured as the flagship home for the Los Gatos New Museum Architectural Home Tour. Turns out we were able to stage three areas where he needed furniture!

Nicole and Tim scouted the rooms ahead of time, making floor plans and stage lists, and made fast friends with one of the girls!

The library was a lovely opportunity to show Harvest's formal side. Just off the entry where there was once just a desk and chair, we created a cozy and welcoming space.

Tim brought in our Monte Carlo sofa and Marquis leather chairs as anchors and layered accessories for a lived-in, yet luxurious room.

On the landing of the second story was a beautiful nook under the stairwell to the third floor. With the gorgeous stairs as backdrop, Tim created a comfy reading corner with our Bradford Chair and the Lucy Side Table.

The guest room had such great light and was the perfect canvas for our Gramercy bed and Caminito bedroom collection.

Every bedroom deserves an occasional chair and our Walton is a perfect fit.

Thanks so much to Scott for the chance to stage his stunning home. The Home Tour was a huge success and we were happy to share our Harvest Style with all the visitors!!

Shooting the Breeze! April 15 2017

Our new sofa style, the Breeze, is getting a lot of attention in the stores. It's casual look and deep comfort are big hits. We featured this sofa in our most recent photo shoot, along with some other Harvest favorites.

The colors in this room scene are so crisp - ready for Spring and Summer. All that natural light streaming in also really helps set the tone! The cool colors of the furniture paired with the soft warm tone of the rug is balanced by the darker hues of the Duke hide and Shea coffee table. Without these darker pieces the room would feel pretty monochromatic, and that's ok, but adding some contrast is always interesting.

For the first shot we started with one Bradford chair. Karsten is getting Wind Blown Mane positioned (above). Adding another chair, we then got a straight-on shot. Tim (below) is adding final accessories for the scene. The flat screen will be photoshopped out. TVs aren't so great for beauty shots. :)

Frida the pup and Cherry the kitty wanted in on the action.

Cutie Pie!

The Bradford Arm Chair close-up.

The Shea Coffee Table, and the Duke Rawhide close-up.

Some other pics we got on this shoot was of our Olof Bench - back in stock, yay! The swimming girl art we don't usually carry in the stores but we could certainly order you one.

Also a great statement is our Langford Mirror. Looks great here as an entry/landing piece.

Moving outside we were able to get a nice photo of our new outdoor dining furniture.

Shown are the Shelby Teak Dining Table and the Newport Arm Chair.

Visit our stores soon to test out the Breeze and other indoor furnishings. Our outdoor furnishings on on display at the Menlo Park Store.

Harvest Gets a Fresh Look! April 11 2017

Although our warm yellow wall color has been a Harvest classic since the beginning, we thought it was time to freshen up the stores. During the next couple of weeks - starting with the San Carlos store pictured below - we'll be giving our walls a coat (or three) of a nice warm white.

At Harvest, we've always mixed the rustic and the refined and this new color goes a long way in communicating that you can create a wonderfully comfortable room but still have it look just a little dressed up.

The white is also a very nice backdrop for all of our furnishings and really adds pop to our varied artwork and wall decor.

Most of our customers will have a neutral wall color in their homes, so this makes it easier to get an idea of how our pieces and fabrics will look in their spaces.

Next time you're in, notice the difference and let us know what you think!

Time to Get Outside! Come See Our New Outdoor Furniture! April 01 2017

Just in time for Spring and Summer, we are now carrying a beautiful new line of outdoor furniture. At our Menlo Park store you can come enjoy our outdoor patio and get a feel for how comfortable and durable these pieces are!

The Cardiff, Coronado, Leucadia and Montecito lines feature aluminum frames for strength and durability and a superior synthetic all-weather wicker that mimics the look of natural rattan; very natural-looking yet extremely resilient and weather-proof.

The cushion fills are specifically designed to allow water to run through and prevent mold. The Sunbrella fabrics used are fade resistant and specifically designed to withstand heat, direct sunlight and moisture.

We are also carrying outdoor propane Fire Tables! These are so perfect for any outdoor space! Use them as a coffee table, or remove the lid when you're ready for a nice fire.

We'll be adding rugs and accessories to the mix as well as a fantastic umbrella.

Our new Shelby dining table is a beautiful grey teak and our Newport Dining chairs are the perfect match!

New Best Friends! Marble and Wood. March 07 2017

A fresh combo that's trending now is Carrera marble paired with naturally finished woods. We're seeing these two together in everything from coasters and cutting boards to kitchens and baths. It's a match made in heaven where the rustic warmth and color of the wood balances out the sophisticated cool greys of the marble.

In our stores now we have these beautiful kitchen boards. Our little iron mice are so cute alongside your cheese and crackers!

Just in, new Wishbone chairs. The pale wood finish pairs perfectly with the marble on our Lucy Bistro Table.

Pinterest is loaded with marble and wood inspiration! Visit our boards for ideas and track-backs.

Our Agustin Mirror is a warm contrast to the cool finishes in this bath.

Even just a touch of rustic wood makes a huge difference in modern spaces.

Our Skinny Benches (when in stock-we always sell out fast!) can go anywhere!

The Kitchen is the perfect place for marrying marble and wood textures. Barstools are a great option for adding some warmth.

Accessories like wooden chandeliers, clocks and cutting boards are other simple ways to pair the two finishes.

Stop in at Harvest today for more ideas on how to bring marble and wood together!

Designer Spotlight - Vanessa Creates a Contemporary Retreat February 27 2017

Here's another spotlight on one of our talented interior designers, Vanessa, Harvest, Los Gatos. We love how this project not only highlights Vanessa's work, but shows how versatile Harvest furniture can be when designing a more modern interior.

The monochromatic palette Vanessa chose is not only restful but lends itself well to more contemporary spaces. The use of various fabrics, such as leather, velvet and linen on the upholstered pieces adds texture to the cool grey theme. The other finishes such as the metal base on our Gramercy Tufted Coffee Table mixed with the polished chrome of the customer's existing end tables reminds us that not everything needs to match. This works and looks lovely!

The Laura Sofa is one of our top-selling styles as it can meld with any decor; casual, modern, transitional... it fits anywhere! The leather Simmons Swivel Chairs allow Vanessa's client to focus on conversation or turn to watch the TV on the opposite wall. Both the velvet fabric used on the sofa and the leather used for the chairs are great choices for durability and timeless elegance.

Accessories add the perfect touch for a beautifully layered look. The Diamond Weave Throw offers some contrast to the sofa, and the Alanna Large Tray is the perfect accent for the coffee table/ottoman and functions beautifully as a base for her client's favorite flower. Tucked away in the corner is the Marguerite X-Stool, again in cool greys, that can be pulled into the conversation area for additional seating.

Another one of our top-sellers is the Wales Lily Area Rug. This wool and hemp flat weave is again, both beautiful and durable.

Thanks Vanessa for sharing this project with us!

Remember that you can get expert advice from our interior designers at any of our stores and create an inviting and comfortable home for yourself!

Designer Spotlight - Sarah Adds a Dose of Farmhouse Style January 22 2017

Sarah, our Menlo Park Interior Designer, recently completed a project for a young couple, who have just finished renovating their home in Redwood City. With a blank slate, Sarah and her clients were able to choose each item to make sure it all flows together. They wanted a rustic farmhouse style, but they needed all the pieces to be practical and functional for their two kids. So, Sarah chose a classic furniture layout, and she picked pieces that were neutral with blue tones and a couple of accent colors to keep it fun and casual.

She chose a light "greige" fabric for the Napa Sofa, which is great for families, and the two Simmons Chairs have a blue and white pattern for added interest. To complete the conversation area, she placed two Burlap Storage Cubes in front of the fireplace for additional seating.

To fill a corner of the room, Sarah placed a round bar cart with a few accessories and succulents to bring some life to the space.

Sarah chose a Harvest Console Table with a Busalla Mirror above it for the perfect vignette in the entryway.

We thought it was about time that green made a come-back! We love the liveliness that a touch of green can bring to a room, and you don't need much to make a big impact.

Another color trend we are seeing is green paired with blush, which offers a lovely contrast.

Our Biggest Hits of the Year December 29 2016

This year our stores were hoppin' and there were some definite favorites among our customers. We are known for our customization of upholstered sofas and sectionals, so it's no surprise that these were a top favorite. The Napa sectional is a great contemporary shape, sitting lower than some of our pieces and super comfortable! The fabric shown on our floor, Montage Denim, was a crowd pleaser too!. A nice deep cool grey with a soft hand and durability. Many of our accent pillows go really well with this fabric!

Another top seller was our new Amsterdam style. It's super deep and it's swooped arms and transitional lines made it a favorite. It is available upholstered and slip-covered. The gel fill used on our showroom floor was also a hit. This fill feels like down in how it sits but doesn't require the maintenance (plumping) that down does. Win, win!

Wedding Tables! These unique pieces from India have reclaimed tops and folding metal legs that create a charming statement piece for dining, desk or entry. They are all different and come to us in varying sizes so truly no two are alike! Look for pieces that have metal overlays that add a terrific rustic element. Especially now, with our floor model sale in motion, these are flying out the door!

Our Cape Collection is a Harvest classic and a long time favorite of our returning customers. We've just received a new shipment of these pieces so get yours now while they are on sale!

Large abstract art was a huge hit this year as well! Our Catania Oil on Canvas, Oro Oil on Canvas and Steam Fog II Giclee were customer favorites!

Large photography prints also were popular. Wind Blown Mane didn't stay in the stores long, as well as In the Storm, another fast seller!

Super Succulents! September 06 2016

Succulents are really trending right now - from giant patio wall displays to the tiniest bud placed in a jar, they are everywhere you look. But even these hardy plants can be difficult to keep alive indoors. That's why we are loving our faux species! They are so life-like that you'll have to touch them to know they aren't real!

We love them on end tables and console tables with a great stack of books or our charming bunnies!

They are also great for bringing some greenery into the kitchen! Fill a shallow bowl or container with low succulent leaves to add to your island or counter.

As summer blooms begin to fade, make sure to bring some of these beauties into your home and keep the green going!

All That Glitters! August 24 2016

One of our favorite new accessories for this Fall are these amazing Geodes in amethyst and white. They are so striking with their rough exterior and faceted interior, that when placed on your mantle or coffee table they will quickly become a stunning focal point.

Geodes can get very large but ours are ranging in size from a few inches to over 12" high, perfect for anywhere in your home.

Geodes are created in the hollow areas of soil or in the bubbles in volcanic rock. Over time, dissolved minerals seep into the hollow areas and harden into outer shells creating the geode. This outer shell is actually porous and over time, minerals seep inside the walls and form beautiful crystals. The most common dissolved mineral is quartz, but amethyst and other minerals can also be found. Just amazing what our earth can create!

Don't Forget to Add the Drapes! August 09 2016

Draperies, like most accessories tend to be added at the end of the room design. But they should be added - even if they aren't functional! A room with drapes is so much richer with an extra layer of softness and texture. We carry some really interesting panels that will add such dimension to your windows you'll wonder why you waited so long to get them!

Most of our panels are unlined, letting the light stream in. They come in 7', 8' and 9' lengths. We also offer some lined panels for more light control.

In the stores we show them framing art work (lacking enough windows :), but in your home they can be used in addition to other treatments such as shades or shutters or on their own. Add multiple sets for more coverage.

We love how panels have been used on this 4 poster bed below! How romantic!

Which brings us to tie-backs. Remember our burlap flower in an earlier post? Here it is with a few other clever ideas!

Stop in to see even more drapery styles and visit our Pinterest boards for lots more decorating fun!

Get More Impact from Your Art May 23 2016

In a recent article posted on the Houzz website, a contributing designer suggested that her interior design clients "select art first if they don't have any so they feel free to buy what they love and not worry about what it goes with. And then we can plan the decor around the art." This is a great idea especially if you are a collector and art is the main focus of the room. But for most, art is one of the last things to be added to a space. Usually our customers will start with a sofa, coffee table and rug, and add accents from there. At that point choosing art not only has to do with content and color, but with size and placement. However, what this designer also mentions is that "your art will always look better and have greater impact in the space when the decor supports the art." Now this strategy works for all!

When you find a piece of art you love, and you have the right place to hang it, then there are some simple tips that can help you pull the look together and make the impact of the art stronger, and the flow of the room more cohesive!

1. Pull colors from your art and repeat them with pillows. Pillows are such an easy way to add interest to your room and when they compliment the art then the entire look becomes more unified. Here we've chosen the yellow from the art to add with pillows to the sofa.

The silver in these pillows compliment the silver in this oil painting and would look stunning on a pale grey or white sofa for a very contemporary look.

2. Use art and pillows that share movement. The horizontal lines of these batik printed pillows reflect the brushwork of this piece. They also share the same colors and a beachy vibe.

3. Repeating another element of your art could even mean repeating the line and color of the frame.

4. Throws can also be used to bring out the colors in your art. Here the light blue/green lettering of our Golden Gate art pops more because of the light blue throw.

Our stores are packed with pillows of all colors and textures and many new pieces of fantastic art. Come by and see what you can pull together! Need suggestions? We are always happy to help you choose what's right for your space!

The "Go-To" Olive Branch May 08 2016

A recent post in Rue Daily mentioned the rising popularity of olive trees and branches as another way to bring the outdoors in, and that their soft green color and delicate leaves are a nice alternative to the fiddle leaf fig trees. We couldn't agree more! We do love our fiddle leaf fig trees - they fill up corners nicely and add some great color - but for a nice change of pace, and an easy styling solution, olive branches are our go-to.

On our last two photo shoots they came in handy as lantern and hurricane fillers. Our faux branches are easy to bend and look great in glass containers.

When layered on trays or bundled into vases, they make an beautiful table top accent.

Branches placed down the center of a table runner are a sweet and easy centerpiece. Single branches placed in a vase are simply elegant.

For more great design ideas check out Rue Magazine and our Pinterest "Accessorize" page. Then stop by our stores to gather up some olive branches for yourself.

Reading Corners and Their 5 Essentials April 24 2016

Every family room, every living room, every den, baby's room, bedroom, even kitchen should include a place to sit, sip and read. These special corners quickly become family favorites, where once you settle in, you're in a separate place of calm and joy - on a little vacation - no matter the mayhem going on around you.
.
.
Maybe you've got a little one curled up in your lap reading Goodnight Moon. Maybe you can't wait to get to the next chapter of a great novel, or, not as fun, you've got some work from the office to review. In any case, it all gets better with a comfortable, dedicated place for peace.
.
.
Essential to the well appointed reading corner are these 5 things:
1. A comfy chair
2. A side table
3. A light source
4. A piece of art or mirror to group the vignette
5. A pillow or throw for warmth and beauty
.
Aristocrat Leather Chair, Bracket Console, Volongo Table Lamp, Oro Oil on Canvas
.
Some additional pieces to think about for your reading corner are an ottoman (to rest those feet) and an area rug (to help define the space).
Below are some images from our Pinterest Board Reading Corners. Visit there for these image links and other inspirational designs.

Too Much Coffee! Is There Such a Thing? April 17 2016

With so many great coffee houses right next door to every one of our stores, we don't have to go very far for that pick-me-up. But what if we wanted our own little coffee station, in our own home. Perhaps too dangerous! But tempting!

Any of our great little chests could serve as coffee bar. We can add some hooks and shelves above, some containers for cream and sugar, a basket with napkins, a cute little chalk board, and we're ready to latte!

For something on the more glamorous side....

we could style up one of our marble-topped side tables or consoles with the french press, some vintage tea cups and silver spoons and a vase of fresh flowers!

Ah, well, whether we choose the rustic coffee station or the glam coffee cart, just remember...

Dining Room or Office? How About Both! April 10 2016

Too often neglected, the dining room table is now being put to work! And what a great place to set up shop! A large work surface is ideal for spreading out to work on your project or set up your computer and notes. If you've got room nearby for a bookshelf, buffet or vitrine, then cleaning up and making room for dining is a breeze. Here are some fantastic images from Pinterest and some ideas on how to get this workspace for yourself!

Statement overhead lighting (a.k.a. dining room chandeliers) is essential to a well lit workspace. Most dining rooms have one chandelier centered on the table but two is much more fun!

Our Truckee Extension Table can be customized to any size you like. Remove the extensions for a smaller desk, or add them in for more work/dining space.

Bookshelves and bookcases, of any kind, help to keep your office/dining space organized. Keep them close to your table so office essentials are easy to grab. Baskets, boxes and bins are great for hiding the not-so-attractive stapler. Use these on shelves below the table height so they aren't as visible to your guests. Style the upper shelves with stacked books and personal objects to keep the look more decorative.

We carry a large variety of cabinets and open shelving perfect for office and dining room alike.

Vieux Quartier Bookcase, Omni Two Door CurioVincent Vitrine, Cape Large Bookcase

Our Summit Dining Table is also made-to-order and customizable for a nice large work area.

Now you see a dining room....

Now you see an office!

Even the smallest of spaces can have two uses. This small, low bookcase could just as easily hold baskets and files.

More Harvest Style and a Brand New Sofa! April 03 2016

Another photoshoot gave us the perfect opportunity to show off our new sectional, the Amsterdam!

The Amsterdam's deep seats and relaxed slip-cover make it the perfect sofa for your comfortable and casual space. It's just dressy enough with it's sloped arms to give your room some extra flair, but once you sit in this sofa you won't want to leave it!

We've paired it here with our Old Fir Bluestone Coffee Table and our Garnett Leather Chairs, but this sofa is transitional enough to go with any existing furnishings you may already have. Visit our Harvest Style page for more products shown in this room scene.

Our new bedroom scene is so beautiful in shades of blue and grey! Mixing different shades of the same colors adds depth and richness without big contrast. This creates a soft and restful feel. Our rustic Omni casegood pieces provide just the right amount of texture to balance out the extra soft bedding and upholstered Humphrey bed and Walton club chair.

Thanks for visiting our site and we look forward to seeing you in the stores soon!

Today's homes are light, bright and friendly - loaded with classic finishes and paired with refined but comfortable furnishings.

Styling Your Side Table with Lovely Lamps! March 13 2016

There are so many great table lamps in the stores right now! And we can't say enough about how much they really add to the look and feel of your rooms! Functionally, yes, they are great for reading in bed or working at your desk. But, hands down, they are one of your greatest end table or nightstand accessories!

To begin, here are some ideas on how to choose the right style and size lamp for your end table.
• Your lamp should provide you with needed light but it should also be something you love to look at.
• Think about the style of your room. Is it more casual and rustic or more on the glam side? Remember you can mix these up too!
• The scale of your end table or nightstand will also dictate what size lamp you should choose. A larger end table can hold a larger lamp and still leave you room for your special accessories. Likewise a narrow table should hold a lamp with a narrow base. Just a small vase of flowers is enough to add some beauty to your vignette.
If you're wondering how best to style with your new lamp, here's a great visual and some images via Pinterest!

Always remember you can take home on approval any of the lamps from our stores to try at home! Another level of lighting in addition to your overhead lighting is important for any room. But more than adding extra light for tasks, a beautiful lamp is one of your best accessories. Have fun with this and visit us to check out all of our new lighting!
