Staff Pick - The Lucy Bistro Table February 14 2016
New for us this year is the beautiful, French-inspired, Lucy Bistro Table and it's Nicole's top pic!
"I love this piece for numerous reasons. I love the mix of materials, with the marble and iron. Plus, the design is simple, elegant, and classic...you simply cannot grow tired of this beautiful table! Also, the neutral colors on this piece make it a great fit for most spaces, and it's so easy and fun to accessorize."
"The Lucy makes for a great bistro table and excellent entry table because it creates quite a statement on it's own."
This table calls to mind cafes in Paris and reinforces the timelessness of marble and iron.
The Lucy is also available as a side table and a dining table. Each are perfectly proportioned and beautifully balanced!
These tables are very popular and very versatile. Stop in to meet Lucy today!

Trending Now! - New From Vegas Market February 07 2016
Karsten, Zandra and Nicole are just back from Market with fresh ideas and lots of great finds! Trending more than ever is the idea of mixing genres! We love this at Harvest - it's the perfect way to create your own individual look. The tricky part is choosing what to bring home to the Bay Area!
Here are some photos and what's trending now and a few of our favorites from this year's Winter show in Las Vegas!
Finding and buying art for the stores is always fun. These large-scale abstract pieces add so much color and movement to a space. Even though they are quite modern, the look great paired with our rustic case goods and industrial pieces!
Sign art is also popular. These could go anywhere! Bedroom, Office, Baby's Room!
Light colored woods mixed with metal is trending now, but it's a look that will last!
Lighting is another furnishing drawing upon Earth's elements. Wood, metals and even concrete create wonderful, artistic bases. These add amazing texture to any room!
and crisp, striped bedding!
Talk about soft - these pillows of faux fur are more than luxurious! Best part, they work in your modern room and your rustic space.
Your feet will love this rug!
Behind the Scenes - San Carlos Photoshoot! January 31 2016
What a great opportunity to stage a big, beautiful, new, modern home for our most recent photoshoot! And what a fantastic way to show how Harvest's California Casual vibe can work well in even the most contemporary spaces!
For a shoot of this scale, planning and preparing begins months ahead of time with measurements taken, floor plans drawn and custom furniture ordered. Special consideration is given to not only what is chosen for the room but how it will look on camera. A detailed shot list is also defined in order to capture the most, and the best photos, for Harvest's marketing needs.
Many hands and lots of talent are needed to bring together just the right look for Harvest; from furniture and accessory selection and procurement, to coordination for furniture installation and finally, for detailed styling and professional photography.
One of our top sellers is the Alex Sectional and we wanted to feature this piece in the family room and show how versatile and beautiful this design can be. Other pieces like our Drayton Coffee Table and Porter Chairs were added to the furniture plan for their scale, color and texture. Accessories and art were brought along, after careful selection and planning, that would round out the shot beautifully.
Zandra adds some final touches to the coffee table.
Ross captures the perfect angle for the shot and adjusts the lighting to best highlight the furnishings.
The dining area and the living room were wonderfully spacious and allowed us to show off our Harvest style!
Look for these and more stunning images from the shoot coming soon to our Harvest Style website page, to our Houzz page and to Pinterest!

Designer Spotlight - Vanessa Adds Big Impact to a Small Living Space January 24 2016
Harvest San Carlos Interior Designer, Vanessa, was given the challenge to create a modern, clean-lined space for her San Carlos client's new home. "The furniture needed to be small in scale but still provide ample, comfortable seating" notes Vanessa. "My client also wanted the room to feel cooler, with grays and blues, while working with the warmer existing paint color."
Vanessa chose the perfect shade of dark gray for the sofa to compliment the walls and added light colored chairs and accessories for high contrast and high impact!
Our Alex Sectional, customized here as a sofa, is perfect for smaller rooms. Its narrow arms allow for more seating space without sacrificing style. And our Coachman Fabric Chairs are small but big on comfort and charm. The geometric pillows add a modern touch as does the Reverie Oil on Canvas painting that pulls all of the colors in the room together. The contemporary drum shade and hand forged metal base of our Mondovi Floor Lamp add even more texture and architectural interest.
But, designed into this modern space is just the right amount of rustic! Vanessa added our reclaimed wood coffee table and end table to get that one-of-a-kind Harvest Style look. Our Davies Coffee Table and end table blend rustic wood tops with industrial metal bases perfect for the eclectic design direction of the room.
We love how Vanessa has created a perfectly balanced room in color, scale and texture that is unique to her client's own personal style. Marrying the modern and the rustic, in perfect harmony, is what our designers do best! Great work Vanessa!
Visit any of our stores and talk with our designers about creating big impact for your small space!

Our Towns - Los Gatos January 17 2016
We are so lucky to have shops in three of the Bay Area's best towns! Downtown Los Gatos, Menlo Park and San Carlos are all great destinations for shopping, eating, and just plain strolling. Today, let's visit Los Gatos!
Harvest Los Gatos is located at 18 North Santa Cruz Avenue. Close to the busy corner of Santa Cruz Avenue and East Main Street, a great starting point for a fun-filled day!
Weekends especially, you'll find families and friends out and about, enjoying the variety of shops, restaurants and activities. A popular stop on Sundays is just around the corner from Harvest; the Los Gatos Town Plaza and the Farmer's Market. This is a great place to not only shop for fresh fruits and veggies, but also to relax with your cup of coffee and enjoy the park.
Just down East Main Street from the Farmer's Market is an entrance to the Los Gatos Creek Trail. Hike or bike the beautiful hills, and bring your dog! Like all of downtown, the trails are dog friendly!
Fun, yearly downtown events bring together the Los Gatos Community. The Los Gatos Wine Walk, the Los Gatos Art Walk, Concerts in the Park, and the St. Mary's Carnival are just a few.
Los Gatos is also a great place to shop and dine. Large chain stores and small locally owned shops like ours provide a nice variety. Our favorites for a quick treat and cup of coffee? Fleur de Cocoa and Amour Patisserie! Fantastic pastries and yummy lattes!
The next time you're looking for a nice way to leisurely spend a day, come to downtown Los Gatos and enjoy all it has to offer. We'll see you here!

This New Year is Organized! January 10 2016
If you're like many of us, one of your New Year resolutions is to get more organized! We can all use a little more time in each day, time that isn't spent looking for the keys! The best and easiest place to start is your entry. Not necessarily your front door entry, but where you come in to the house most often, with the kids, after shopping, the high-traffic entry. That's where you'll usually have the "catch-all" space. You know, where you drop the mail, groceries, jackets, purses and the keys. It might be a little table, a bench, a kitchen counter or a mud room, but chances are it could use a little organizing!
If you're lucky enough to have the space for a piece like our Casey Entry Bench then you've got a place to put everything. Bins and baskets can be used for backpacks, shoes and the shopping bags that need to go back in the car. The hooks are great for the jackets and umbrellas this winter and, come Summer, sun hats and beach bags.
But if space is a little limited, try some of these other solutions.
Hang a couple of our Wire Wall Shelves with hooks over our Harvest Bench. Having a place to sit and remove your shoes as well as hang your coat is a win, win. Style the shelves with baskets or family photos and fun accessories.
These narrow shelving units can fit anywhere and are perfect for baskets! Label the baskets with family names or with tags noting what each basket is for. Elemental Bookcase. Factory Shelving Unit - Small.
Console tables are versatile and clutter free. Add a tray for the keys and a little box for the mail and you're good to go! Higgins Console Table. Tahoe Console Table.
We've got many wall shelves, hooks, trays and baskets for even the smallest spaces to help keep you're most used items at hand.
Stop in and find the perfect entry piece for your space and get a jump start on an organized year!

Behind the Scenes on a Harvest Photo Shoot January 03 2016
Thinking about how to present our Harvest image on the website is a fun challenge. Our vibe has always been a livable and comfortable rustic style but with a new merchandiser, Zandra, and a change in trends that leans toward the glam, blending the two is perfect for Harvest and it's what she does best!
The stores are always getting in new merchandise! Zandra, Karsten and Nicole shop the furniture markets twice yearly to search out the new trends and find the pieces that are right for Harvest. New art, textiles and accessories allow Zandra to change up the stores' vignettes and keep things fresh. Here she starts with our Oro oil on canvas, a Porter chair and our Calais Trolley.
But this art piece, Abandoned Farm House, is one of her favorites and so it becomes the starting point for the vignette.
Finding the right accessories is a trial and error process. What looks great on the floor of the store doesn't mean it will take a nice photo. The lantern is a fantastic piece but it's covering too much of the artwork.
Zandra switches the side table to the Lucy, lands on the Glam marble table lamp, and keeps styling with accessories to get the right balance for the photo.
She finds just the right accessories and changes the photo's angle for more interest, and we've got the shot.
It's also important to keep in mind how the photo will translate to the home page and work with the other elements on the site. Nice!
Good work Zandra! And we hope you like it too! Keep visiting the site for more updates and behind the scenes with our team.

Swivels Are Back and Perfect for Your Winter Space! December 13 2015
This time of year is a nice time to visit with friends, cozy up by the fire, and watch Miracle on 34th street. It's also nice to have a seating arrangement that let's you enjoy them all with just a turn of your chair! Great Rooms are still a popular design decision when creating or building a new space. Rooms where we spend time with family and also entertain. But often there's a dilemma on how to visit with your guests but then watch tv or enjoy the fireplace. Swivel chairs are a terrific solution for this, especially since these days they are so nice looking.
One of our most popular chairs is the Havana. This swivel, glider, recliner has it all! Use one near the fireplace for a peaceful cup of cocoa or afternoon nap. Swivel it toward the sectional for some pleasant conversation.
Using two swivels is twice the fun! Our small scale Simmons Chair fits perfectly in both limited spaces and larger rooms.
The Simmons, shown here in the perfect navy, is comfortable yet compact, and you can choose from a wide variety of fabrics to suit your decor. In our clients' home below it was placed by the sliding glass door as a quite reading space but can swivel to take in the lovely back yard.
Here are 3 more ideas with images from our Pinterest boards on how to use and place these versatile chairs.
1. In front of the fireplace: a great way to enjoy your guests in conversation but also swivel to enjoy a cozy evening by the fire.
2. In front of a window or slider: Turn to take in the outdoors, watch TV or chat!
3. In the middle of a room: When your TV is over the fireplace the swivel chair can turn to an additional conversation area or maybe your kitchen island.
Stop in at Harvest and check out our swivel chair options and let us help you design a beautiful and functional space this winter.

We are Loving Carolyn Barbara Jewelry for Christmas! December 06 2015
This is Carolyn! A local artist whose beautiful jewelry we are excited to carry at our Los Gatos store. Her designs are both modern and elegant, making them the perfect accessory for any style. On some pieces she textures sterling silver and gold for a current industrial look. But you will also find delicate and sophisticated designs often adorned with natural gemstones in various hues. Each piece is meticulously crafted, formed and soldered by hand in the artist's home studio.
We love that this is jewelry you will wear everyday, whether going out for an elegant dinner or going out for morning coffee with friends. And they are the perfect Christmas gift!
Wear her jewelry in matching sets or layer different pieces for a new look!
Find more of her work on our Harvest website and at CarolynBarbara.com. Also check out our Instagram feed for some great in-store pictures of her displays!
Enjoy the Holiday Season, and we'll see you at Harvest!

Life-Proof Upholstery! April 28 2015
Our customers are the curl-up-on-the-sofa types. They have kids and dogs and really live on their furniture. We often get the question "what fabric do I choose for kids?" or, "we are really hard on our furniture". Along with durability, our customers also want softness (a nice "hand" as it's called in the industry). And guess what? You can have both! Here are a few tips and some of our best wearing fabrics of choice.
• Choose a tightly woven fabric. The tighter the weave the more durable the fabric. You've heard of micro-fiber? Well these fabrics like our D'oro Suede are still great workhorses and new textures have updated their look. The American Leather comfort sleepers are a great example of this type of fabric looking great. We also love our Bella, a velvety, very soft and very durable fabric that comes in lots of colors. In the stores our Laura sofa wears it well. Also take a look at our Sonoma fabrics. These show less of a nap, have a slight texture, and still have all of the softness. Tip: Run your nail along these fabrics. Tight weave = no snagging!
Laura Sofa in Sonoma, Slate
Laura Sectional in Sonoma, Pearl
• Fabric backings add stability and strength. Some fabrics have either a sprayed on acrylic backing (it'll feel rough to the touch) or an attached woven backing. Both of these add to a fabric's durability. They are most commonly used on lighter weight fabrics that will be used for upholstery, but some of our more durable fabrics also have backings. Look for the Montage fabric, a linen-looking, soft fabric that comes in some great neutrals. The Key Largo line also has some nice choices.
Monte Carlo Sofa in Montage, Wheat
• Woven tone-on-tone and textured fabrics help hide dirt and wear. These fabrics give you a great look of color play and texture without you having to commit to a printed fabric you may grow tired of. Again, the tighter the weave the better.
Arcadia Sectional in...
• Blends are Best. Engineered fabrics like Polyester, Olefin and Nylon, when blended together offer great stain resistance and wear well. More thirsty natural fabrics like cotton and linen will absorb spills and such but synthetics help repel them.
Still, even the most durable fabric will break down if you don’t maintain it. To help prolong the life of your upholstery do these two things:
1) Vacuum your furniture once a month. Dirt and dust that gets rubbed into your upholstery from the friction of use will wear down the fibers.
2) Go for the fabric protector! It not only helps with stains but adds to the longevity of your fabric. You'll be glad you did!

Sea Stars, Stripes and Other Coastal Decor April 09 2015
Harvest has always had a little coastal vibe. It goes hand-in-hand with our rustic, casual look. With the beach just over the hill we're minutes from feeling the sand between our toes. And in just minutes you can add some of that relaxed feeling to your home as well.
Some constant costal themes are stripes, rope, stars, fish, green sea glass and weathered wood. Cozy blankets, colorful pillows and wicker baskets go a long way to add some sea charm.

New in the stores are these adorable striped dining chairs, a great white-washed table, weathered wood consoles, coffee tables and a fantastic ticking topped bench!

How to Choose the Right Size Area Rug March 12 2015
What is the right size area rug for my space and furniture? We get this question often and there are some simple do's and don'ts that can help you decide.
A common mistake is to buy a rug that is too small for your furniture plan. What you want to accomplish is to unite the furniture group and give it a solid definition of space. The below rug is 6'x9' shown with an 82" sofa. Although the front feet of the sofa are able to rest on the rug, most of the sofa, the end tables and the backs of the chairs are left floating. This will work in a pinch but it's not ideal.
The rug below is 8'x10' which we commonly use at the stores. It's a great size to bring together this grouping of furniture. Most of the sofa and end tables can fit on the rug as well as all of the occasional chairs. This really brings the grouping together. Even though our nesting tables are a little bit off the rug, that's ok, as long as they aren't too tippy.
Something trending now is to layer rugs. This is a great look and can add lots of texture and contrast. The bottom rug is 9'x12'. We like to suggest our Clinton Sisal Rug or one of our jute rugs. Then we've layered a 6'x9' rug on top for softness and color. Hides are also a great layering rug!
Here are some examples from our Pinterest pages of layered rugs and other rug inspiration.
Some of our new store favorites, just arrived!
If you have questions about the rug size that is right for your space and furniture, stop on by, we're happy to help!

Marrakesh Inspired! A Feast for the Eyes! February 03 2015
Marrakesh, Morocco, a place of saturated color, lively pattern and countless layers of texture is a feast for the eyes! No wonder many who travel there want to bring some of this exotic feel home. From the hand-woven textiles to the hand-painted tiles, Moroccan motifs grace every surface of hotel and home.
Marrakesh Bazaar
The geometrics and floral patterns of this far-off land inspire designers here to find ways to add some of this "spice" to our lives!
This trend has been brewing for a few years now but this year, as shown at the Vegas Market, it has really arrived! Mixed colors and prints were everywhere, but the blues especially captured our attention!
New rugs, throws and pillows will all be arriving soon to our stores and bringing with them, a little bit of Marakesh!

Playing with Pattern! January 25 2015
If you ask us, the pillow has way too much responsibility when it comes to adding pattern to a room!
Most will choose a solid fabric for a sofa, as would we, but chairs and rugs are the perfect places for something fabulous.
Understandably, it's more of a commitment to go with a bolder print for a bigger piece, but really, the impact pays off! Mixing patterns and textures creates a space that's exciting and memorable.
Here's an idea from our Harvest team! Try our Manhattan Chair made in a "French grain sack" stripe, with a great geo rug, our cute herringbone throw and some pillows. Add a dark grey sofa or sectional and you've got a great looking room!.
Could look something like this!
Still nervous about mixing patterns on your own? We are here to help! Stop in to ask us about adding some pattern play to your rooms!

Out with the Old and in with the Fresh! January 05 2015
Decorating for the holidays is always so much fun. The stores and our homes are plumped-up with cherished ornaments, pine garlands and beautiful objects. But after the New Year is rung in, it's time to put away and clean up. There is something very satisfying about starting the year with a clean, fresh home but it's kinda sad too, because now the house looks so empty.
Here are a few simple ways to remedy these doldrums and put a smile on your face to start the New Year off right!
1. Freshen up your fireplace mantle.
Once the stockings come down, keep the mantle simple with some topiaries, greenery or some cool and colorful new art.
These pieces will instantly transform your fireplace wall with some fresh new color. Freefall Painting, Boxwood Topiaries, and our Cafe Du Parc Clock.
2. Give your sofa some new decorative pillows.
3. Re-style your coffee table. By using a simple tray, some books and fresh-cut flowers or fruit. Brightening your coffee table style will brighten your day!
We always have a variety of trays in the stores. Here are some classics: Vintage Serving Tray, Cast Aluminum Trays, and Mirror Tray

The Chesterfield – A Sofa with Pedigree November 14 2014
The leather Chesterfield sofa is an iconic and historic sofa. Possibly first commissioned by Philip Stanhope, 4th Earl of Chesterfield (1694-1773), this sofa style has stood the test of time. A chesterfield is a deep buttoned sofa, with arms and back of the same height and traditionally made from leather. In England, the term chesterfield is used only to describe this type of sofa, but today it refers to any sofa, settee or couch with this shape, buttons and quilting.
Our Shea is a new addition for Harvest and is a great statement piece for your living room! This sofa is super long and perfect for curling up.
The rich brown leather goes with anything - dress it up or dress it down!
Although leather is the customary covering for a Chesterfield, your sofa can be what you like. Our Monte Carlo is offered in many fabrics but still creates the same impact!
Two is always better than one when it comes to a Chesterfield!
Stop in to one of our stores to see Shea in person.

Round Out Your Room in a Big Way! October 29 2014
Maybe you're looking for a great statement piece for over your mantle or for your entry. Maybe you don't want to spend a lot of money on that piece. Maybe you're not sure what that piece should be. Consider a large, round mirror! Mirrors are a simple solution that add light and interest. And round is always a good way to go. We are loving our new Junius mirror. It's a huge 43" wide and blends the perfect balance of rustic and glam. With a distressed gold frame and antiqued glass, it's more a work of art than a mirror.
Over a sofa, over a mantle, in an entry, in the dining room; a large round mirror will dress up and define any space!
Remember the "mirror rule of thumb". Make sure it reflects something you want to see twice, like the outdoors or a lovely light fixture.
Our homes are filled with right angles; windows, doors, fireplaces, shelves... adding something round softens all of the hard corners and gives the eye a nice place to rest..
The Junius is lovely but we can also order for you the round mirror of your choice! Which look is best for your space? Ask us to help you find the perfect large mirror for your home.

Classic Black - Every Room Needs Some October 17 2014
One of the easiest and most dramatic ways to add some energy to your room is to add black. Adding some dark contrast to any space wakes up the eye and creates an instant focal point. New at Harvest are some great black accessories and furnishings that will add just the right amount of drama to keep your rooms interesting!
A simple way to bring black into your home is with pillows. These great geo weaves are nothing short of fabulous and full of patterned energy!
A little black chair goes a long way in adding some pop to this vignette. These Portabello Chairs are great around a rustic dining table or, like here, with our Bedeau Paris Table.
A new addition to our great storage options is the Napa line. The rustic black finish is perfect for bringing in a neutral yet impactful design element.

Get the Designer Look! It's Easy...Really! October 07 2014
Pinterest is an amazing place to find great interior design ideas. This room from Olson Lewis Architects and Kristina Crestin Design is one of the best and, with all of the design work done, it's easy for you to get it too. Not only can you bring this gorgeous look home, you can get it in one place!
The finish work in this room is exceptional, but starting with a white backdrop the colors, patterns and textures in this room really pop. A contemporary sofa is the main piece in the room. The dark color and silky texture looks so inviting. Our Laura sofa or Napa sofa in either the Bella or Sonoma fabric is a great way to get the look. Both these fabrics are super easy to wipe clean with water! The occasional chairs shown above are no doubt swivel chairs. Our Simmons chairs are a perfect match with lots of bold fabrics to choose from. The poufs are super textural and comfy with a loose loopy weave. Something we could order for you from Surya.
The large, square coffee table in a rustic wood finish adds some nice warm contrast to the cool colors of the room. A perfect solution from Harvest is our Drayton Coffee Table. And the art over the fireplace gives the room a fresh coastal feel, just like our Del Mar paintings.
Great lighting is always essential. It's like the jewelry that tops off a great outfit. We like our Aqua Diva Chandelier from Regina Andrews in place of the beaded light shown here. Add another level of lighting with table lamps on the sofa console. Our Seeded Recycled Glass Lamp and the Rubicon Double Bookcase work great behind the sofa.
Just add accessories, pillows and of course friends and family, and you have a great room for living! Here's your guide to a beautiful designer room in just one visit to Harvest!
Remember, you can bring in any photo of a room and we can help you Get the Look! We carry many products in the stores but we can also order for you much more from catalog. We're looking forward to helping you create great spaces! See you soon!

This Saturday Harvest Los Gatos is participating in the Los Gatos Fall Wine Walk! This event is so popular that it is already sold out and we're looking forward to a fantastic day. There are 30 downtown shops pouring wine from about 40 wineries and we'll be hosting Enoteca 5.
Wine tastings are a fun way to entertain, especially when you can go all out on the presentation. We love our new 2-Tiered Gold Bar Cart and the way it dresses up any party!

Living With and Loving Large Art August 18 2014
Nothing makes a statement in a room like a large piece of artwork. It's an easy wall decor solution for both small areas and spacious rooms.

Many pieces will come in a variety of sizes. Below are some ideas from our Pinterest page on how you can use large works of art in your home.

Summer Days are for Navy Blue July 24 2014
It's Summertime! Time for the beach, time for the lake, time to take some time out! These rooms serve up some great relaxing comfort and fun with a summer favorite, navy blue.
Navy is a terrific neutral. It goes with just about every accent color; orange and citrus green during the summer, come fall, yellows and rusts, winter, deep reds and greens.
If you still love a tan or white sofa, trimming it out in navy really adds a custom touch.
A Chesterfield classic like the sofa below, is both luxe and comfortable. Our Monte Carlo would look great in a deep, rich blue.
Our Laura is also lovely in navy. And so "user friendly"!
Punches of navy and punches of color. Have fun and mix it up!
Visit our stores and talk to one of our designers who will help you find many options, from a huge variety of resources. Look for us on Houzz and Pinterest for more inspiration.

Our Olof Bench, Bronze Side Tables, pillows and sconces make a nice vignette for the entry.
Simmons Chairs and our Brunner Ottoman are beautiful in this lounging area off the entry.
These Oddo Stools are perfect for the kids' table!
The Large Cape Bookcase near the tasting bar is just the right piece for this wall. The scale, height and storage are perfect.
A set of the Vista paintings really compliment this wall color.
Chalkboards abound!
Our Hudson Dining Table and rustic bottle collection.
One of our Cape 6-Door Sideboards! These are so much fun!

More pictures from the buying trip. A terrific variety of chandeliers and pendants!
Trending Now! Antiqued Gold and Brass July 03 2014
Just back from the show in Dallas, Karsten and Zandra were thrilled to see what a huge trend gold and brass finishes are right now. Antiqued gold adds warmth and just the right amount of elegance to any interior. From bar carts to light fixtures, the color and texture were everywhere, and perfect for Harvest.
Metallic finishes became very popular in the 50s with the Hollywood Regency trend. Traditionally, this style featured very reflective and shiny surfaces. The Hollywood set loved their "glam". Today, they are toned down a bit with matt finishes and often with a two-toned bronze effect which works well with any decor.
Other Hollywood Regency influences like geometric shapes and the Greek key still look great today and compliment a more contemporary room nicely.
Every space needs a little metallic touch and we're looking forward to getting these and more Harvest accessories in soon.

Modern Engineering and American Leather June 25 2014
Did you know that the American Leather Comfort Sleeper will fit through this door as demonstrated by this adorable little baby girl?
Water and stain proof materials like those on the mattress are not only easy to keep clean but are also anti-bacterial and anti-microbial. And American Leather is one the first companies in the U.S. to remove fire retardants from their products making them all the more healthy.
The folks at American Leather like to say "it's a bed first" but it makes a great looking sofa (or sectional) as well. Choose from 13 styles in fabric or leather in multiple sizes and configurations.
Visit one of our stores to get the whole list of features this amazing product has to offer. And have no fear when that little girl starts inviting her friends over...well, at least you won't worry about the bed! :)

Sectionals for Small Spaces June 13 2014
Usually when we think sectional, we think BIG. But not every sectional needs a lot of space. You can still get the look and comfort of a multi-piece sofa without crowding your room. The key to finding the right sectional is to measure your space and then choose a style that offers the most seating area. An important space-saving feature to consider is the arm of the sectional. The wider the arm, the less seating space available for your limited area. Here are some images from our site and from our Houzz Idea Book for inspiration. Keep in mind that all of our sectionals are fully customizable so we can work with you on the perfect size for your room.
A very versatile configuration is the sofa+chaise. The Laura Sectional has a clean-lined style with contemporary arms.
Another small-space style feature to consider when ordering a sectional is the corner piece. We offer a variety of corners including a "round wedge" and a "corner wedge" but these are best used for larger areas. Sticking with the "corner chair" is your best bet for getting maximum seating within a smaller footprint.
The Alex Sectional is contemporary with a very narrow arm. Loveseat+Corner Chair+Loveseat
The Hannah Sectional offers plenty of seating with a nice small rounded arm. Loveseat+Corner Chair+Loveseat
The Paige Sectional is raised off the floor with higher legs providing a light, airy feel perfect for smaller spaces. Loveseat+Corner Chair+Loveseat
Bring your room dimensions into one of our stores and we'll help you find the sectional that's right for your room.

Trending Now! Upholstered Bed Frames June 06 2014
Once only seen in the best hotels, upholstered headboards are making a huge splash in the residential market. And for good reason; they are beautiful, colorful, they compliment any style decor, and, with Harvest, can be customized. Choose a classic, square-cornered bed frame, a soft and curved frame like the Camelback, or a winged frame like our Humphry bed below.
One of the best reasons to go for an upholstered bed is that you can specify many of its dimensions. The height of the headboard can often be a challenge when you're shopping for a bed frame. If your bed is going against a blank wall then the sky's the limit, so to speak. Like the bed below you can exaggerate the size and add some real drama. But, you can also go low if you're placing your bed below a window, or you are going for a more contemporary look. The below ideas and more have been gathered in an idea book on our Houzz page. Take a look and bring us your ideas!
Nail heads are always a classic and look great on both traditional and contemporary styled bed frames. The metal adds some contrast and they outline the frame's shape nicely. Not into nails? How about a contrasting welt to outline the bed instead?
Now, for the million dollar question? What about keeping it clean? Fabric protection is a good idea. Your upholstery is then guaranteed against stains. You could also decide to go with a micro-fiber (very easy to clean) or go with a darker fabric choice, which makes a lovely bed. Don't forget to vacuum occasionally as well.
Finishing a Room with Window Treatments May 30 2014
It's easy to forget about window treatments since they are often the background in most spaces. However, window treatments are a simple design detail that make a dramatic impact, and choosing the right panels will make a room. We offer a fantastic drapery panel program at Harvest called "India's Heritage", which includes a variety of materials, textures, and colors. Stop by a Harvest store to view samples and play with ideas!
More Interior Design Projects from Harvest Furniture May 22 2014
To wrap up our new Interior Design Portfolio preview, here are two more inspiring client projects. Both really showcase how we can create a variety of styles within our Harvest product line. We pride ourselves on being able to provide for you wonderful design talent and expertise along with a vast resource of furnishings to choose from.
Monte Sereno Home - Could we resist the temptation to use lovely Alma in the photos? Of course not! She was the perfect model. It also gives us the perfect opportunity to show how Harvest furniture is not meant to be too precious for pets. That doesn't mean, however, it can't look beautiful at the same time.
Ample and comfortable seating were on the wish list for this room. The Arcadia three-piece sectional and the Marquis recliner offer our clients a place to sit back and relax after their busy days. The upholstery on the sectional and the leather are also super easy to maintain. Alma doesn't get up on the furniture but there are little ones that visit often! Other Harvest accessories, including the fireplace screen, end tables, pillows and art, help make the room that much more inviting. Good Girl Alma!
Los Gatos Home - This home belongs to a family who is constantly on the go but who love to entertain. Although it isn't a large room, the furniture arrangement makes it easy to accommodate a nice group of friends. Our Monte Carlo sofa is a large scale piece, but the vaulted ceilings in this room create the illusion of more space, so it works beautifully. The ottoman can be used for extra seating and the great-looking 2-tiered bar cart is ready to serve up a nice glass of wine.
It's always a great idea to add a mirror to visually expand smaller spaces. Smaller pieces of furniture, like the leather ottoman are easy to move as needed and provide additional storage.
No matter your lifestyle, be it casual, elegant, relaxed or on-the-go, (or all of them together for that matter) Harvest Interior Designers can help you find the right look for the way you live!
Cheers! -The Harvest Team
